While stainless steel is very durable it is not completely maintenance free. Stainless Steel is a metal alloy created from a combination of metal including nickel and chromium. Because there is a sufficient amount of chromium it creates a protective film of chromium oxide over the surface when exposed to the air. If the sinks surface is left wet or coated with food and other contaminates the metals in the sink cannot form this protective layer and become susceptible to stains and rust marks. If properly maintained your sink will last a lifetime and continue to add charm and beauty to any decor.

General Cleaning Instructions:

Wash weekly with mild dish detergent and a soft towel or sponge, to prevent build up of mineral deposits from the water. Dry with a soft cloth after each use to prevent water spots that can dull the appearance of the sink. For oily spots or tougher grime you can use a mixture of baking soda and water with a soft sponge and scrub in the direction of the grain. NEVER use steel wool on the sink this will scratch the surface.

General Care Instructions:

It is recommended that you do not leave food to dry on the sink surface, as this can cause discoloration on the sink. Some scratches will occur over the lifetime of the stainless steel sink. It is recommended to use a protective grid to prevent excessive scratches to the surface of the sink. To remove fine cosmetic scratches, a product like Bar Keepers Friend will do the job. Simply follow the manufactures directions.

Undiluted white vinegar will remove oily fingerprints! Simply pour on a soft cloth or paper towel. Rub over fingerprints and surrounding area. Rinse thoroughly. You can also try a window cleaner with ammonia in the product. Be advised that ammonia can dull the granite or other solid surfaces.
Oil (Mineral or Olive) will remove streaks and gives it that "new sink" shine. First dry your sink. Start with a few drops on a paper towel and rub in well over the entire surface of the sink. Repeat until desired result is achieved.

The appearance of the rust is often caused by tossing or leaving pots, pans or flatware in the sink. These marks are superficial and easily removed with a little baking soda and water or a product like Bar Keepers Friend (available at most supermarkets). Follow the manufactures instructions for any store bought product. Or make a paste with baking soda and water rub with the grain of the finish until the marks are gone. Rinse thoroughly, repeat if needed and finish by drying the sink with a soft towel.

For deeper nicks a Brillo or an S.O.S. pad can help to disguise some of the damage. With the grain of the finish, gently rub over the scratch and the surrounding area. When finished rinse and dry. (This tip is meant for deep cuts to a brushed finish, using this type of product will cause permanent scratches!)

1. Know which colours to look for.
People who have had a colour analysis will know how liberating this is. Armed with your wallet you will know which colours will flatter you and just as importantly how to wear these colours.

2. Be clear about the clothes shapes that flatter you.
How often have you been in a shop and seen an item in a good colour for you, often on a store model so it looked gorgeous, and then when you got it home it just wasn't right for you? One of the issues with diabetes is that people with the disease have a tendency to have problems with their feet. One of the first things that a doctor will go over with a diabetic, once the disease is diagnosed, is proper foot care. There are two main issues the Diabetic needs to worry about. First, is something called neuropathy, or properly known as peripheral diabetic neuropathy. This is when a person loses sensation in their feet due to nerve damage brought on by diabetes. It can be caused by poor circulation and the result feels like numbness in the toes and feet. It can be equated to the feeling when your foot goes to sleep, but it doesnt go away. When your feet are numb, you cant feel the pain from something cutting them or even the heat from your bath water and infection or damage can occur.

The other problem that arises is something called peripheral vascular disease or hardening of the arteries in your legs. This can stop the blood flow from entering your feet a blood flow that contains the proper antibodies for healing any problems that may occur. When this happens, infection can set in and then there are real problems.

So, how does diabetic footwear help your feet? Well, there are three parts to helping the diabetic foot: Socks, Orthotics, and Shoes.

Socks

A diabetic sock is one that is made to not bind on the leg. This does not mean loose, but is not as constrictive as a normal sock. The founders and owners of the Forever 21/XXI chain are Don and Jin Chang who immigrated to Los Angeles from South Korea in the mid-1980s. Aggressively marketing young and mature women as well as men and children, the Changs have achieved what every immigrant hopes forthe American Dream. Starting with one store in L.A., they began adding new stores every six months. Last year they acquired 40,000-square feet of a former Saks store in Pasadena, California, turning it into a palace of rich looking clothes and other desirable articles for the not so rich.

Preferring to remain a mystery, Mrs. Chang gives no interviews and maintains a profile so low her physical body is off the radar. Ask top designers like Marc Jacobs and Diane Von Furstenberg and they will say it takes months to get their clothes from the runways to the stores. The Changs deliver interpretations of the same item down to the tiniest patterns and finest quality material, within six weeks!

The Changs say they employ no designers, just very savvy designer merchants. Yet when you examine their product adaptations its clear these designer merchants are the reason for the success of Forever 21. But the company refuses to make them or their names public. In other words, the designer merchants, along with Mrs. Chang, remain invisible. When questioned, a spokeswoman replied, smiling: our clothes are on trend, almost indistinguishable from designer clothes. Our design process is proprietary.

According to the New York Times, Diane Von Furstenberg has filed a lawsuit against Forever 21 for replicating one of her dresses down to its print, fabric and color. Current law does not protect clothing design from being copied (logos are an exception), said the Times. But Ms. Von Furstenberg and other American designers have been lobbying Congress since last year to expand the copyright statute that protects music and books. Such a change is considered a long shot, the Times said.
